Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. in Pasadena, CA seeks a Project Manager II for Construction Management to lead District Facilities projects on-site from pre-construction through closeout.

The role includes scoping, schedule and budget oversight, change order reviews, and coordinating with architects, engineers, inspectors, contractors, school sites and District staff to ensure safe, timely, and within-budget project delivery. Active construction oversight is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience managing public sector or K-12 construction projects, including active construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing assigned construction projects under the District's Facilities Program from pre-construction through closeout.
• Provides scoping, oversight of schedule, budget, quality control, change order reviews, including time impact analysis, estimates and contractor performance.
• Coordinates with architects, engineers, inspectors, contractors, school sites, and District staff to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within approved budgets.
• Ensures compliance with DSA requirements, District standards, safety regulations, and contract documents.
• Prepares project documentation, progress reports, and supports issue resolution throughout all phases of construction.
• All other duties as assigned
