Job summary

Paragon seeks a Project Manager II to oversee complex projects at Scott AFB, IL. You will assemble teams, assign responsibilities, and develop schedules to ensure on-time delivery while managing scope and risks.

Strong coordination with internal/external stakeholders is essential as the program moves through acquisition phases. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of PM experience, plus US citizenship with a DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee one or more highly complex projects, assemble the project team, assign responsibilities, and develop schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate activities and schedules with internal and external organizations and customers through acquisition phases.
  • Maintain acquisition program documentation, status tracking, and program reviews to reflect progress and early issue detection.
  • Develop and track milestones, expenditure rates, metrics, and management reviews as part of the acquisition life cycle.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

The Project Manager II oversees one or more projects of a highly complex nature. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting deadlines of project. Familiar with the project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. May perform one or more of the following activities: assembling project team; assigning individual responsibilities; identifying appropriate resources needed; developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project; meeting deadlines of project; project scope management; project time management; project cost management; project quality management; project HR management; project communications management; project risk management; and project procurement management.

  • Possess working knowledge of Acquisition program plans consistent with policies, requirements, and direction.
  • Proven ability to analyze interrelated issues and development of recommendations to solve problem
  • Ability to coordinate activities and schedules with internal and external organizations and customers to guide program accomplishment through phases of the acquisition cycle
  • Experience establishing management controls such as milestones, expenditure rates, metrics and management reviews to reflect Acquisition program status and to provide early detection of problems.
  • Ability to recommend tradeoffs to cost, schedule and performance. Familiarity with the application of industry best practices to program guidance, planning, and solutions.
  • Experience in preparation and tracking status of Acquisition program-related documents submitted for review/approval by Command authority.
  • Familiarity with accessing and supporting program information in the government provided portfolio management tool
  • Experience building an acquisition schedule in Microsoft Project for internal tasks, durations, task flows, interdependencies, etc., major milestones, and key events
  • Possesses the ability to produce and/or review of all Acquisition program documentation as specified in the Integrated Defense Acquisition, Technology, & Logistics Life Cycle Management Framework including Integrated Master Schedule (IMS
  • Experience tracking and monitoring of acquisition documents
