Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Project Manager - Scientific Research for a 14-month assignment in Foster City, CA. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, defining project scope, milestones, and schedules, and driving progression of research programs in a collaborative environment.

Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence in Foster City at least 3 days per week; strong MS Office and Zoom skills and pharmaceutical industry experience are required or preferred as noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 5+ years.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience as a scientist or project manager is required.
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams is required.
• Drug development process knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Zoom is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and progress scientific research projects within a cross-functional environment.
• Start up and manage research-based development subteams and supporting teams.
• Organize cross-functional project teams, define objectives, milestones and schedules.
• Identify resource needs, track execution and manage risks.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Project Manager- Scientific Research for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Foster City, CA. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• $63.89/hr!
• Monday-Friday (Hybrid)
• This position is a 14-month assignment with potential for extension or conversion.
• Position will be responsible for managing the coordination and progression of scientific research projects within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Position will also be responsible for starting up and managing research-based development subteams and supporting teams preparing molecules for governance meetings and clinical development.
• Position will also organize cross-functional project teams, define objectives and scope, establish milestones and project schedules, identify resource needs, track project execution, and manage risks.
• Responsible for effectively managing multiple cross-functional projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining clear communication with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience is Required!
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a functional area scientist or project manager is Required!
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams is Required!
• Knowledge or experience with the drug development process is Preferred!
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) and Zoom is Preferred!
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills are highly preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite in the Foster City office at least 3 days per week.
