Job summary

Builders FirstSource in the United States is seeking a project manager to provide oversight for multiple initiatives, developing implementation plans including scope, goals, scheduling and deliverables. The role collaborates with management to ensure alignment with business objectives and delivers on project milestones.

The position requires planning, resource estimation, and coordination across departments, with a focus on QA audits and process improvements through post-mortems and lessons

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree combined with 2 years of project management experience or equivalent.

• Estimates resources and personnel needs and requests additional staff/consultants as needed.

Responsibilities

• Under moderate supervision, provides project management oversight and direction to ensure overall success of a limited number of initiatives by developing appropriate project implementation plans to include but not limited to scope, goals, scheduling and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management.
• Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and determines the need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes appropriate request for additional personnel.
• Manages relationships across organization and divisions to develop a thorough understanding of core business functions and align project with overall business objectives.
• Conducts quality assurance audits in support of project quality plan including project post-mortem assessments and suggests improvements in process and/or procedure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and two years (2) experience in project management or related field specific to the assigned project(s) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
