Job summary

Hobbs+Black Architects in Phoenix seeks a Project Manager to lead project teams, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain design excellence across healthcare, education, civic, and commercial projects.

You will mentor staff, manage schedules and budgets, review drawings and specifications, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to turn vision into built spaces.

• Review conducted site planning and zoning research.
• Collaborate with consultants and contractors.
• Provide construction administration direction.
• Collaborate with marketing to create opportunity proposals.

Project Manager

Position Overview

This position is the main client contact and director of all aspects of the project responsible for managing a team of architects to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications by delegating work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and project time constraints. We work with a variety of clients to create aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable spaces for a broad range of projects in healthcare, education, civic, mixed-use, commercial, residential, retail and more.

This role is one of leadership and includes mentoring and developing other team members. Background in architecture and experience in project management with technical proficiency to create and develop detailed construction documents applying their knowledge of and experience with building codes, building systems, conceptual design phase, schematic design phase, site planning, zoning, bid packages, submittals, fieldwork, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost estimating.
