The Opportunity

The Project Manager – Hydropower Generation Services role will support Hydropower Projects and requires a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Hydropower Generation, with at least three years as a Project Manager, located in California.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively promote the operational and safety culture.
• Responsibility for achieving project goals for safety, compliance, schedule, quality, financials, reputation, and client expectations.
• Actively nurture and cast positive culture shadow.
• Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals for services work.
• Lead project teams in engineering services projects for hydropower projects.
• Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members.
• Interface between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Work in both a corporate and field environment.
• Assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers.
• Typically provides support to business development for pursuit activities.

Management Responsibilities

Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in hydropower or hydraulic structures.
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management with full responsibility for the outcome of the project.
• Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting.
• Experience in design and operation support of conventional and pumped storage hydroelectric generation stations.
• Previous experience in a client facing role.
• Typically 7 years experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
