Project Manager
Reports To
Director, Project Management
Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within the ETO AME organization, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, according to contract specifications, and meet the required quality standards.
Main focal point for the customer to our company for the project. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to develop project plans, define project scopes, allocate resources, and track project progress.
Responsibilities
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, resolve issues, and communicate project updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Review technical and commercial information of the project assigned to ensure understanding of the scope of the project.
- Schedule internal kick‑off meetings and ensure that every team member is aware of and knowledgeable about project targets and how they will be accomplished.
- Formulate project execution plans with input from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality and Install Subcontractors, monitor for compliance, and take action to correct any deficiencies.
- Ensure the project is planned, controlled, and managed according to Konecranes procedures and best practices to maintain a controlled process from start to finish.
- Perform financial reporting, invoice triggering, and manage any applicable financial instruments.
- Administer contract scope and change orders.
- Establish and maintain job files, ensure records are accurate, and keep the ERP system up to date at all times.
- Coordinate the shipment of cranes to job sites, work with installers and customers, ensure subcontractors have sufficient information to complete installation, and arrange site visits with subcontractors if necessary.
- Arrange startup and commissioning of equipment with the appropriate service group.
Qualifications
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma from a college, or PMP certification is preferred. Previous Project Management experience is required.
- Experience with overhead crane delivery, installation, and commissioning; or related construction experience is required. Familiarity with the transportation of heavy machinery, installation practices (including basic rigging requirements), installation equipment (mobile cranes, personnel lifts, forklifts, etc.), job‑site scheduling of multiple trades, and job‑site safety is required.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and well‑developed people skills. Ability to interface with all levels of supplier and customer management and communicate effectively to all.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently handle and administer multiple tasks on concurrently running projects, including problem‑solving and conflict resolution.
- Advanced PC skills, including MS Project, MS Office, and other ERP systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and a desire to fully understand our products and processes.
