Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager for Heavy Civil / VDOT work in Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads. You will own cost, schedule and profit for roadway and utility projects from buyout to closeout, and manage the schedule with the field team.

You will lead subcontractors, run pay apps and cost forecasts, handle change orders, and act as the main liaison with VDOT and owners. Relocation assistance is available for top candidates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years on heavy civil, highway or utility projects with recent PM/APM experience.
• VDOT or other DOT project experience strongly preferred.
• Proven cost, schedule and change order management.
• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent field experience.
• HCSS HeavyJob, HeavyBid or P6 experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Based in Virginia or open to relocation; relocation assistance available.

An established, family owned self perform heavy civil contractor with more than 50 years in Virginia is hiring a Project Manager for heavy civil highway and utility projects across the state. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager or senior APM with VDOT or other DOT experience who wants ownership of real projects with a contractor that keeps winning work. You'll run roadway, highway and utility projects from start to finish, much of it VDOT work. Hampton Roads candidates are great, and candidates from anywhere ready to relocate are welcome.
