Overview

American Civil Constructors West Coast, established in 1987, is a Heavy Civil Construction company. We are qualified to bid and perform work for State DOT's and City & County Public Works agencies all over the United States.

We are currently hiring for a full-time Project Manager to work out of our Benicia, CA office. This position will require working remotely as needed while projects are underway.

This is a Full-Time, year-round position with time split between office and field. Travel to projects both local and nationwide is required. This is a non-union management level position and is part of the Operations Department.

As a heavy civil construction company, we specialize in retrofitting and repairing bridges - as well as performing specialized pavement overlays throughout the country for various DOT’s and Public Works Agencies. At ACC West Coast, we are growing our business and searching for knowledgeable, dedicated individuals that will complement our team. Our experienced crews and management team work together to complete high-quality work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling; Tracking Production and Inventory
  • Handling Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
  • Coordinating & Supervising Varying Work Schedules (for Day/Night Work) and Crew Mobilizations from job to job
  • Working Closely with Project Owners, Prime Contractors, Inspectors, Field Engineers, Field Superintendents and Subcontractors/Suppliers as needed to successfully complete our construction projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Well-qualified candidates will have 5+ years working in project management for a heavy civil construction company with prior experience managing construction projects, preferably involving bridge and/or pavement overlay related work, but other types of experience will be considered
  • Other Important Qualifications: Good organizational and time management skills, employee managerial experience, excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills, a willingness to continue learning and mentor younger engineers, ability to work as a team, great communication skills (both verbal and written), enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task and coordinate/complete your projects successfully are all essential to this job. Primavera P6 is highly desired, but not required. Valid driver’s license 2+ years
  • Desired Experience: 5+ years in Construction Management
