The successful candidate will manage Capital Program Management/Owners Representative assignments and represent owner interests with design professionals and contractors through all phases from budgeting to closeout.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of clinical renovations and owner representative/project management experience in Hospital, Healthcare Systems, Pharmaceutical, and/or Laboratory projects.
  • Experience managing minimum of $50 million in healthcare or related construction.
  • Experience managing high-rise construction projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to resolve issues creatively; supervise recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, SharePoint and general Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional healthcare projects with demanding resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
  • Monitor design and construction to ensure phases meet contractual agreements and quality standards.
  • Define and assign project responsibilities to the Assistant Project Manager and Team.
  • Mentor team members to grow skills and foster a high-performing project team.
  • Monitor, evaluate and develop project financials, cash flow analyses, cost estimates, and review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
  • Forecast, identify and address potential liabilities and risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure objectives are met.
  • Maintain client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships; manage conflicts.
  • Communicate complex ideas and persuade leadership to adopt positions for project success.
  • Assist in evaluation, development, and selection of standards, policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced team members.

Overview

STV currently has opened for a Healthcare Project Manager in the PM/CM group in Seattle, Washington.

We are seeking a Project Manager-Healthcare with a strong history of recent healthcare experience representing owners on capital programs, facility upgrades, renovations and additions for both new and occupied healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will assume a role in our division managing Capital Program Management/Owners Representative assignments. The candidate will represent the owner and owner stakeholder groups as part of a high performing team delivering projects and programs for healthcare-specific clients. The Project Manager will represent the owner’s interests in managing design professionals and contractors constructing state-of-the-art Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Bio Life Science facilities. In this role the Project Manager will work alongside senior managers to guide the project team through all phases of the project life cycle including budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, move management planning and close out services.   • Monitor design and construction activities to ensure that all phases of work are done in accordance with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards.
  • Define and assign project responsibilities to the Assistant Project Manager and Team.
  • Mentor team members to grow skill sets to foster a high-performing project team.
  • Monitor, evaluate and/or develop project financials, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates, as well as reviews purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
  • Forecast, identify and address areas of potential liabilities and risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules. Ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Maintain client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships. Manage conflict resolution.
  • Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential concerns and persuade others, which may include executive leadership, to adopt positions to facilitate the successful conclusion of the project.
  • Assist in the evaluation, development, and selection of standards, protocols, policies and procedures to facilitate project success.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required, in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical renovations and owner representative/project management experience, specifically in Hospital, Healthcare Systems, Pharmaceutical, and/or Laboratory related projects.
  • Demonstrated history in managing a minimum of $50 million in healthcare or related construction types.
  • Demonstrated history in managing high-rise construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally to establish credibility on project teams.
  • Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
  • Knowledge and ability to supervise people including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development.
  • High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications.
  • Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule and budget.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $128,067.17 - $146,362.48
