In this role you will:

Project Management

  • Collaborate with the Principal to evaluate project requirements, negotiate owner-architect agreements, and ensure project scope, profitability, schedule, and budget are met.

Team Leadership

  • Actively manage project teams, provide day-to-day leadership, and mentor junior staff. Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with healthcare clients in Southern California.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor the quality of project documents, ensuring they meet schedules and budgets. Provide communication and coaching to team members.

Client Relations

  • Enhance existing client relationships and build new ones through excellent design services. Assist with client billings and maintain open lines of communication with office management.

Contract and Budget Management

  • Oversee correspondence, evaluate contractor bids, and develop discipline cost and work-hour budgets for each project.

Marketing and Proposals

  • Collaborate with Principals in the marketing of projects, development of proposals, and participation in client interviews.
You will need to have:
  • Education & Licensure: CA Licensed Architect with a bachelor’s degree in architecture preferred.
  • Experience: 7-15 years of professional experience with increasingly complex projects; OSHPD (HCAi) experience highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency project management software and Microsoft Office Suite products. Knowledge of Revit.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills, able to interact effectively with clients and team members at all stages of a project.
  • Project Delivery Methods: Experience with various project delivery methods such as Design Build, IPD, and Design-Bid-Build.
Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $99,500 - $133,200.
