General Purpose:
The Project Manager is the DM Coatings' day-to-day, direct customer representative, responsible for bottom-line results in safety, quality, productivity, profit, and client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all activities in your area are conducted in accordance with DM Coatings Safety Program and related procedures. Ensure all subordinates are trained in safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate communication and knowledge of all project activities on assigned construction projects. Follow document control protocols.
- Conduct regular project issue reviews to manage concerns and maintain the project schedule. Work with customers to ensure compliance.
- Review project schedules and ensure all projects have accurate and updated equipment and manpower requirements.
- Prepare monthly cost projections and present them at monthly cost-to-complete meetings.
- Direct subordinates to maintain project specifications, delivery dates, and budget compliance; including approval of overtime as required.
- Represent DM Coatings at progress meetings with customers at all assigned sites.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and outside agents; ensure proper performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies.
- Develop project cost plans, including schedules and earned value reports.
- Ensure all activities adhere to EEO policies.
- Conduct thorough post-project reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- This position supervises all DM Coatings field personnel and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Engineering/construction background with extensive industrial/commercial experience in Wastewater Treatment, Steel, Chemical, and Oil & Gas industries.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college/university; or ten (10) years of related experience in the industrial/coatings field as a supervisor or manager.
- 30-hour OSHA training preferred.
- NACE Level 1 or 2 certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of AMPP standards and certifications.
- Strong planning, organizing, scheduling, and follow-up skills.
- Experience in proposal preparation for coating applications.
- Knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Leadership, decisiveness, flexibility, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain good customer relationships.
- Ability to interpret financial, technical, and legal documents.
- Effective communication with customers, regulatory agencies, and the business community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and Viewpoint; basic skills in PowerPoint.
This is a full-time position.
