Job Title: Project Manager Grants (NSF)

Location: Reston, VA
Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and organized Project Manager to work with the Program Manager, Instructional Services, to manage the planning, execution, and reporting of the NSF grant aimed at expanding the AP Project Based Learning (PBL) Series to Computer Science A. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, keen attention to detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

The candidate must have experience with NSF grants, organizing and administering grant processes, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with NSF protocols. Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating meetings with an 8-person committee and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate instructional services schedules and timelines for the AP PBL Series in accordance with the NSF grant.
  2. Ensure all team members are informed of milestones and deadlines, and address potential roadblocks.
  3. Maintain detailed project documentation and oversee revisions and updates.
  4. Develop workflows and templates to streamline production processes.
  5. Support workflow processes, including IT coordination for document access.
  6. Perform quality control checks of content and implement necessary fixes.
  7. Manage communications with committee members regarding contracts, travel, and meetings.
  8. Collaborate with project leads to refine processes and reduce errors.
  9. Coordinate with the AP Program Access Product Management team for testing and development timelines.
  10. Manage sensitivity reviews in collaboration with GPER.
  11. Ensure compliance with NSF grant requirements in collaboration with internal and external teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; PMP certification preferred.
  • 4-5 years' experience in project management, preferably in education.
  • 2-4 years' experience with NSF grant processes.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and educational practices is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Smartsheet, Trello, Jira is a plus.
