Job Summary
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closeout of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety, coordinating closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate combines strong technical construction knowledge with excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction planning, estimating, execution, and closeout. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Preconstruction & Estimating: Manage preconstruction activities, including budgeting, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation. Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to define project scope and deliver accurate estimates.
- Self-Performing Capabilities: Utilize our in-house teams for painting, tile, and flooring to enhance project quality and efficiency. Coordinate with these teams to ensure seamless integration and exceptional craftsmanship.
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the company, clients, and stakeholders. Facilitate transparent and effective communication to keep all parties informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Management: Lead and inspire project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff. Foster a work environment characterized by respect, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve project challenges. Implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and uphold high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in general contracting, with a focus on preconstruction and estimating.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Advanced knowledge of construction processes, estimating techniques, and project management software.
- Experience working with self-performing trades, particularly in painting, tile, and flooring.

Physical Requirements
- The position requires regular travel to and from the office and construction sites.
- Must be able to navigate uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and changing work conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform occasional office/computer work for extended periods.
- Able to stand, sit, crouch, reach for extended periods.
