Job summary

Honeywell in Houston seeks a Project Manager - Gas Skid Solutions to lead end-to-end delivery of integrated gas skid and station solutions for mission-critical data center gas power infrastructure. You will own scope, budget, schedule, risk, and customer communications for projects over $10 million, coordinating across engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, delivery, commissioning, and closeout.

You will report to the General Manager and work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management, or related discipline.
  • 6+ years of project management experience delivering complex engineered equipment, packaged systems, industrial infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience managing projects of $10M+ with responsibility for budget, schedule, forecasting, risk, and customer communication.
  • Working knowledge of engineered gas systems, metering and regulation, mechanical packages, instrumentation, controls, or comparable process equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage gas skid or station projects valued at $10 million or more, maintaining accountability for scope, cost, schedule, quality, and customer commitments.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, budgets, forecasts, resource requirements, and performance reporting.
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison, providing status updates, managing expectations, resolving issues, and coordinating technical and commercial decisions.
  • Lead project execution across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, site support, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Coordinate delivery of metering, regulation, gas quality, detection, pressure, and temperature measurement solutions for packaged skids and stations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, constraints, dependencies, supplier delays, and schedule impacts; elevate critical issues with recommended actions.
  • Control project changes through disciplined review of scope, cost, schedule, contractual requirements, and customer approvals.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budget adherence, cost-to-complete, cash flow, margin, invoicing milestones, and change-order opportunities.
  • Facilitate project reviews with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders; document decisions, actions, and accountable owners.
  • Ensure solutions meet applicable customer specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety expectations.
  • Coordinate factory acceptance testing, documentation, shipment readiness, installation support, startup, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project records, including schedules, risk registers, action logs, status reports, commercial correspondence, and closeout documentation.

Job description

The Project Manager - Gas Skid Solutions leads the end-to-end delivery of integrated gas skid and station solutions that support safe, reliable fuel-gas supply for mission-critical data center gas power infrastructure. Fuel gas skids and station solutions include fuel gas conditioning skids, gas flow metering skids, pressure regulation and monitoring skids and gas composition analysis stations.

This role owns scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality, and customer communication for projects valued at more than $10 million each. The Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams and external partners from project kickoff through engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, delivery, commissioning, and closeout.

Success will be measured by projects being delivered safely, on time, within the approved budget, and in accordance with contractual scope and quality requirements. Success also includes accurate forecasting, timely escalation of risks, and effective management of project changes. Strong customer satisfaction and clear, consistent communication with stakeholders are expected throughout the project. Finally, projects should have complete and timely documentation, along with an orderly turnover to operations or the customer.

You will report directly to our Genera Manager, and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage gas skid or station projects valued at $10 million or more, while maintaining accountability for scope, cost, schedule, quality, and customer commitments.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 6 or more years of project management experience delivering complex engineered equipment, packaged systems, industrial infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, or mission-critical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project of $10M or more with responsibility for budget, schedule, forecasting, risk, and customer communication.
  • Working knowledge of engineered gas systems, metering and regulation, mechanical packages, instrumentation, controls, or comparable process equipment.
  • Experience coordinating engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, logistics, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling, financial reporting, risk tracking, and standard productivity tools.
