Fermi America seeks a senior leader to own a natural gas generation project on Project Matador from FEED through FID, construction, commissioning and turnover. You will direct EPC contractors, manage safety, cost, schedule and quality outcomes, and ensure compliance with permits and codes.
Requirements include 15+ years in gas power project delivery, 5+ years in leadership, and a BS in engineering or construction management. Experience with 300 MW+ projects and FEED management is essential.
Fermi America is building the largest private power campus in the United States to serve the compute demand of artificial intelligence. Project Matador, our flagship development in Carson County, Texas, is planned to scale to approximately 17 GW of generation, comprising roughly 11 GW of natural gas, 5.4 GW of nuclear, and 600 MW of solar. We deliver behind the meter power at a speed and density the incumbent grid cannot match.
About the Role
You will own a natural gas generation project on Project Matador from FEED through final investment decision (FID), construction, commissioning, commercial operation, and turnover to Operations. Scope may include simple cycle and combined cycle blocks, heat recovery steam generators, cooling systems, fuel gas conditioning, balance of plant, and the interconnection to the campus high voltage system. This is a single point of accountability role on the owner side of the table. You carry the safety, cost, schedule, quality, and contractual outcome. You direct the EPC contractors executing the work. You make the decisions rather than recommending them to someone else.
