Job summary

FOX Entertainment is seeking a Project Manager to translate priorities into actionable plans, coordinate across R&D, production, talent, and business teams, and ensure timely delivery. The role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining accountability.

The candidate will work on-site at least four days per week, manage budgets and scope, and drive continuous improvement using practical processes and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in media, entertainment, technology, or a closely related field.
• Track record of delivering complex projects across teams with different priorities and areas of expertise.
• Working understanding of television and film production, with the ability to connect creative requirements to technical and operational execution.
• Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, including checking outputs and applying judgment to their use.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Maintain a reliable, current view of active projects, priorities, dependencies, and team capacity.
• Coordinate across R&D, production, talent, education, and business teams to align resources and move work forward.
• Identify risks, conflicting priorities, and resource constraints early. Recommend solutions and elevate decisions with clear options and trade-offs.
• Drive follow-through on commitments, approvals, and next steps, with clear accountability for each.
• Give leadership and project teams concise, useful updates on progress, blockers, decisions needed, and outcomes.
• Track schedules, agreed budgets, and scope changes. Make the impact of changes visible before commitments are made.
• Capture requirements, decisions, workflows, and lessons learned so each project makes the next one stronger.
• Track meaningful measures of success, including delivery time, cost, adoption, and production impact.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FoxNXT is FOX Entertainment's next-generation technology studio, built to expand what our creative teams can achieve and put more of every production dollar on screen. Our work spans four pillars: R&D, Production, Talent, and Education.

We turn emerging technology into practical tools and workflows across scripted, unscripted, animation, and marketing. We test in real productions, learn what works, and make those lessons useful across the business. We also develop talent and help our creative and production teams build the skills to use these tools confidently.

Our approach starts with people and craft. We work with creative partners to solve real production problems, protect creative intent, and use AI responsibly, with respect for rights, the creative community, and the resources production consumes.

The Project Manager turns priorities into coordinated action. You will manage intake, establish clear plans and ownership, track delivery, and make sure the right decisions happen at the right time. Working across creative, production, technical, and business teams, you will keep an accurate picture of what is moving, what is blocked, and what needs attention.

We are looking for someone who is organized, curious, direct, and comfortable working through ambiguity. You ask good questions, follow through, and raise problems early with a recommendation. You know when to resolve an issue yourself and when to bring others in. You build enough structure to help talented people do their best work as the business grows.

Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 7+ years of project management experience in media, entertainment, technology, or a closely related field
• Track record of delivering complex projects across teams with different priorities and areas of expertise
• Working understanding of television and film production, with the ability to connect creative requirements to technical and operational execution
• Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, including checking outputs and applying judgment to their use
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment about priorities, dependencies, risks, and when to escalations
• Clear, concise communication. You can explain what matters, what needs to happen, and who owns the next step
• The ability to build trust and hold people accountable across functions and levels of seniority
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Notion, and Google Workspace
• Comfort working in a growing team where priorities evolve, and some processes still need to be built
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Experience moving emerging technology from experimentation into production use.
• Experience working directly with creative teams, production crews, or technical artists.
• PMP or equivalent certification.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-130,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
