Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading our projects and execution teams in successfully delivering projects from conception to completion, reporting to the business unit management.

This role involves planning, completing, and coordinating various projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, effective teamwork, and a proven track record of managing successful projects.

The position involves tasks related to high-voltage electrical transmission and distribution systems, including work with electrical substations, switchgear, GIS substations, power transformers, HVDC systems, FACTS, control cabinets, battery panels, and similar areas. Key services provided include the installation and commissioning of new high-voltage equipment, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance, retrofits, refurbishments, upgrades, emergency services, asset management, monitoring, and the integration of new technologies relevant to electrical asset management.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, ensuring clear task assignments and expectations.
  • Manage project budgets and resources efficiently, tracking expenses and optimizing allocations.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, proactively addressing risks and issues while keeping customers informed.
  • Develop detailed project plans covering scope, goals, timelines, and financials.
  • Ensure alignment with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) strategies and involve the EHS department to meet compliance requirements.
  • Support after-sales service development, contribute to technical design, resolve commercial/technical issues, and coordinate subcontractor performance.


What You Bring

  • Academic background in electrical engineering, electronics, energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven success handling complex projects from initiation to completion for High Voltage Substation Projects. Technical knowledge and demonstrable experience in bid management within the energy transmission business.
  • Good level of spoken and written English. Fluency in Portuguese is required.
  • Availability for international travel and short/medium-term stays on-site.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strategic mentality.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including motivation and inspiration. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
