Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Southern California-based General Contractor is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of retail/restaurant experience and at least 3 years of project management experience, specifically for new construction, site/civil, and tenant improvement projects.

The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through completion, coordinating with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to anticipate project needs, adhere to design intent and deadlines, and manage budgets effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct estimates, take-offs, value engineering, and pre-construction activities.
2. Allocate subcontracts and purchase orders for vendors and materials.
3. Collaborate with owners, construction managers, landlords, architects, engineers, inspectors, and relevant authorities to ensure diligent project execution.
4. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
5. Supervise field personnel and evaluate ongoing work.
6. Communicate project expectations to ownership, team members, and subcontractors.
7. Prepare and submit weekly project reports.
8. Manage RFIs and change orders.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to safety standards enforcement.
• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, along with negotiation skills.
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and leadership abilities.
• Solid understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
• High standards for quality control.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Microsoft Project, and familiarity with OPM programs like Procore is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on commercial construction projects (Retail/Restaurant).
• At least 3 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Project Manager.
• Resume should include references, a list of completed projects, and descriptions of your involvement.

Compensation is dependent on experience, ranging from $100k to $140k+.
