The Episcopal Diocese of Texas is committed to supporting healthy, growing, mission-focused congregations in a diverse and rapidly changing region. We support nearly 70,000 Episcopalians across 81 counties in 330 diverse communities. The Congregational & Mission Vitality team is a hopeful, joyful group of leaders who are passionate about our ministries and deeply value one another and the churches we serve.
The Project Manager is the first dedicated project management role on the Congregational & Mission Vitality team. As the team grows and its consulting and support work with congregations expands, this person will design workflows across the team's portfolio, track each engagement from intake through completion, work cross-functionally to add accountability to the process, and define and evaluate what success looks like at the close, producing reporting that shows how and where the Diocese engages its congregations. The position is based in the Houston Diocesan Office.
Regularly talks, listens, stands, walks, climbs stairs, bends, and sits, at times for extended periods; uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms; and lifts up to 15 lbs. Requires frequent face-to-face interaction and interruptions, the ability to follow oral and written instructions, sustain concentration, and make quick, accurate decisions under stress from deadlines, employee complaints, complexity, competing priorities, and occasional understaffing. Work is performed almost entirely indoors in a moderately noisy office environment, with continuous use of telephones, computers, copiers, and similar business equipment.
