Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. seeks an Excellerate Project Manager to oversee large and complex orders, manage change control, and guide projects through the production system to satisfy customers. You will mentor other PMs and ensure team performance while coordinating with supply chain and vendors.

Flexibility to travel is required. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus electrical estimating experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
  • 1 year of electrical estimating experience
  • Or 5 years of experience in the electrical trade and 1 year of electrical estimating experience
  • Travel of 15-20%
  • Work schedule 7 AM–5 PM, Monday-Friday; flexibility to work any day/time to meet business needs

Responsibilities

  • Plans and manages large and/or multi-site Excellerate orders, ensuring profitability, timeliness and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies.
  • Promotes a positive culture by fostering constructive employee relations.
  • Coordinates with Supply Chain Team and vendors for material coordination.
  • Identifies and generates new business; networks and maintains customer relationships.
  • Processes miscellaneous paperwork and order status reports for stakeholders.
  • Reviews quotations and sales orders for accuracy.
  • Mentors and develops managerial talent and assigns leadership roles.
  • Fosters cross-functional collaboration across the organization to accelerate work processes.
  • Visits job sites to ensure progress and safety; supports safe behavior.
  • Delegates to direct reports with proper controls to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Provides clear feedback and direction toward goals.
  • Organizes direct reports into productive teams; creates a constructive environment.
  • Performs other duties as needed based on business demands

The Excellerate Project Manager is responsible for managing internal/external customer interface of large and complex Excellerate product orders, including managing change, and stewarding projects through the production system to ensure customer satisfaction. Will also be responsible for overseeing staff to ensure other Excellerate Project Managers are sufficiently performing those same tasks. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred, and have the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training

Experience: 1 year of electrical estimating experience

or

Experience: 5 years of experience in the electrical trade and 1 year of electrical estimating experience

Travel: 15-20%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and manages large and/or multi-site Excellerate orders. Ensures that orders are completed profitably, in a timely manner, and according to customer expectations.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies.
  • Promotes a positive company culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
  • Works with Supply Chain Team and vendors to ensure effective material coordination.
  • Identifies and generates new business. Networks, establishes, and maintains customer relationships.
  • Processes miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Prepares, supports, presents as required order status and manufacturing metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reviews quotations and sales orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Acts as coach and developer of managerial talent; as well as skillfully selects and trains those individuals. Evaluates candidates' and managers' willingness to lead, communication and planning competencies, and ability to make decisions under pressure. Assigns team and project-leadership assignments to assess skill/ability. Spends ample time evaluating people in 'test' managerial roles. Holds managers who report to him/her accountable for managerial work.
  • Manages the boundaries that separate units which report directly and with other parts of the business. Monitors the flow of work between his/her unit and others in the organization, asking questions, and recommending improvements. Understands and conveys functional strategies, business strategies, and corporate mission. Fosters effective cross functional collaborations to accelerate work processes.
  • Actively participates in the planning, organizing, and staffing of integration and manufacturing projects. Ensures that projects are completed safely, productively, timely, of the highest quality and according to customer expectations.
  • Promotes merit shop philosophy by ensuring effective, fair, and timely performance evaluations for all employees.
  • Visits various job sites and interacts with crew and customers to ensure proper job progress and to support and encourage safe behavior.
  • Effectively delegates to direct reports with proper control systems in place to ensure accountability and to prevent decision making bottlenecks.
  • Provides frequent and clear feedback to direct reports, offers clear direction, and ensures direct reports are sure about their goals.
  • Organizes direct reports into a productive team to encourage synergy.
  • Creates a supportive environment that allows mistakes but not failure (motivates and instructs; shares positive and negative feedback in a constructive manner).
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
