Job summary

ServiceMaster RRH is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager in Downers Grove, IL to oversee residential and commercial losses from fire, water, mold, and disasters. You will develop client relationships, work with a Construction Superintendent, and manage projects from start to finish, including coordinating contractors.

Sales and PM experience in disaster restoration is preferred. You will be based on-site, conduct inspections, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• In-person site inspections required.
• Experience in restoration and construction.
• Experience with Xactimate.
• Disaster mitigation estimating experience preferred.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel out of town and pass checks.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement the Project Quality Planning and Control process.
• Maintain liaison with clients to ensure project success and satisfaction.
• Set objectives, policies, and standards within policy boundaries.
• Oversee on-site construction with the Superintendent to meet schedule and budget.
• Evaluate progress and team performance to ensure timely completion.
• Manage contract finances and reporting.
• Identify potential legal issues and review with Branch Manager.
• Oversee project close-out and meetings as company representative.
• Provide technical assistance to project team and pursue new work.
• Foster client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships for growth.

Position

We’re looking for an Estimator/Project manager to oversee projects for residential & commercial losses caused by fire, water, mold and natural disasters. This person will develop relationships to build and grow accounts and manage projects. This person will also oversee projects with the help from an assigned Construction Superintendent, from start to finish and manage contractors. We are seeking those with both sales and project management experience within disaster restoration ideally for commercial accounts and/or large loss.

Pay

$70,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience, with eligibility for annual uncapped bonus.

Requirements

• Must conduct in-person site inspections – not remote
• Experience in restoration and construction

Responsibilities

• Support and implement the Company’s Project Quality Planning and Control process.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with clients and contacts to facilitate successful project execution, including attending client-initiated meetings and maintaining contact to ensure their satisfaction for marketing purposes.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of the on-site Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
• Evaluate construction progress and team performance to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts reporting.
• Identify potential legal problems and litigation for their projects and review them with the Branch Manager.
• Oversee completion of project close-out.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Provide technical assistance and support to all members of the project team.
• Identify new work opportunities and inform Sales and Marketing of potential projects with current clients.
• Actively lead internal team(s) focused on continuous improvement of the business.
• Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Familiar with all Policies and Processes as it relates to this position.
• Proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk.
