Job summary

ARCO is seeking motivated professionals in Nashville to join our PM track as Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers. You will drive project performance from design through closeout, interface with clients, design teams, and vendors, and contribute to value engineering and budgeting.

The role offers growth within ARCO’s PM path, exposure to ground-up and large TI projects, and a collaborative culture focused on integrity and results.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • 1-5 years of construction management or engineering design and management experience (APMs, PEs, and Engineers welcome to apply).
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, Procore and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues.
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client.
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • 1-5 years of construction management or engineering design and management experience (APMs, PEs, and Engineers welcome to apply)
  • Previous experience leading ground-up or large TIs for commercial, light industrial, energy, hospitality, multifamily and community living, or entertainment construction projects is preferred
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, Procore and Microsoft Project
