What You Will Do:

  • Lead project management and process design for new water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, review existing water/wastewater treatment facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment/systems upgrades and replacements, and present your findings to clients and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct business development and develop client relationships in the water/wastewater industry
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply various treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and apply the results to water/wastewater treatment plant configurations
  • Develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians
  • Assess impact of changing DOH, EPA and MPCA regulations for specific client needs
  • Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification of designs, proposal presentations, and business development activities

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering in areas such as evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, wastewater conveyance and water distribution systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of water or wastewater engineering project management experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • A current Minnesota PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
  • A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at a variety of locations
  • The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with construction projects
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills

Experience in some or most of the following technical areas:

  • Wastewater treatment process design
  • Water treatment process design
  • Well and pump house design
  • Water Storage
  • Biological nutrient removal
  • Biosolids stabilization and processing
  • Pilot testing
  • Process modeling
  • Advanced oxidation
  • Reuse

Our candidate will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Proven business development experience
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and mentoring staff
