Job summary

McKinstry in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Manager - Energy to lead energy services projects for large accounts. You will manage complex ESCO initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and travel regionally including multi-day trips to Montana.

This role offers autonomy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and opportunities to impact energy efficiency across sites. Applicants should have 3–5 years leading project teams in engineering, construction or facilities services, with strong communication

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent work experience required.
• Three to five (3-5) years of leadership over project teams with experience in engineering, construction, facilities services required.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required.
• Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project required.
• Experience with a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
• PE, CFM, CEM, CPM, LEED, CHC professional designations are a plus.
• Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, financial acumen, and systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of construction financial programs and software required.
• Ability to create and manage budgets, revenue forecasting and client expectations required.

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking aProject Manager - Energyto join our team as a member of our growing Energy team in Austin, TX. As a Project Manager, your main areas of focus will be on energy services projects for large accounts. You'll be a key member of a growing team, so you can expect more autonomy and entrepreneurial spirit. The purpose of this position is for an individual to support construction projects regionally which will require multi-day travel to various locations across Montana. While travel is a key component of this role, the physical location of the employee's residence is flexible.

We're looking for someone who has demonstrated experience within commercial construction, more specifically in the ESCO space, and is comfortable taking ownership of projects involving complex pieces. We expect this individual to possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, is results oriented, consultative, and collaborative.

The pay range for this position is $92,520 - $152,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
