Qualifications

infrastructure program throughout Northern California.This Journey-level Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for routine-to-moderately complex electric distribution projects and will be responsible for managing projects from initiation and planning through engineering, permitting, construction, financial reconciliation, and closeout.The Project Manager will work with minimal day-to-day supervision and collaborate closely with engineering, estimating, construction, contract management, environmental, right-of-way, municipal, and utility stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget.**Key Responsibilities*** Manage individual electric distribution capital projects from planning through construction and closeout.* Support projects involving Rule 20A and Rule 20B undergrounding, 4kV-to-12kV cutovers, overhead reconductoring, switch installations, and new distribution circuits.* Develop project scopes, objectives, schedules, budgets, milestones, and stakeholder expectations.* Partner with Engineering and Estimating to establish baseline Total Forecasted Cost (TFC) and monthly cash-flow forecasts.* Coordinate environmental permitting, CEQA/NEPA activities, land and right-of-way requirements, material procurement, and other project dependencies.* Build and maintain critical-path project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling tools.* Integrate engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and energization milestones into project schedules.* Maintain project risk registers, identify schedule and delivery risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.* Coordinate with General Construction supervisors, internal utility crews, and external civil and electrical contractors.* Maintain accurate project and job-order information within SAP / Work Management Systems.* Track project costs, forecasts, actuals, change orders, contingencies, and schedule performance.* Prepare variance explanations and regular project status reports covering milestones, roadblocks, risks, and financial performance.* Lead weekly or bi-weekly project and stakeholder meetings.* Coordinate completion of field as-builts, GIS/mapping documentation, and project closeout activities.* Support financial reconciliation and timely closeout of SAP job orders.**Minimum Qualifications*** **3–5 years of project management experience**, including at least **2 years supporting electric utility systems or heavy infrastructure construction**.* Working knowledge of electric utility capital project delivery.* Understanding of **overhead and underground electric distribution construction practices**.* Basic-to-intermediate proficiency with **SAP Work Management modules** or comparable utility work-management systems.* Experience using critical-path scheduling tools such as **Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project**.* Experience supporting project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, risk, and change management.* Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, construction, contractors, municipalities, and cross-functional utility stakeholders.* Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience supporting **electric distribution capital projects** for PG&E or another regulated electric utility.* Experience managing projects involving **overhead and underground distribution, Rule 20A/20B undergrounding, voltage conversions, reconductoring, switch installations, or new distribution circuits**.* Hands-on experience with **SAP Work Management** and **Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project**.* Experience supporting project estimating, budgeting, forecasting, change orders, contingency management, and financial variance reporting.* Familiarity with utility permitting, environmental requirements, right-of-way coordination, material procurement, and construction sequencing.* Experience coordinating directly with utility engineering teams, field construction crews, contractors, municipalities, and other external stakeholders.* Previous experience conducting **field site visits, job walks, and construction progress reviews**.* Knowledge of California electric utility operations and regulatory requirements is a plus.**Working Hours & Location**This is a full-time hybrid position supporting projects throughout PG&E's Northern California service territory.Candidates located in or around **Chico, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Tracy, Stockton, Pleasanton, or nearby communities are strongly preferred**.The selected Project Manager will be expected to:* Report to the **Dublin office in Pleasanton approximately one day per week**.* Attend
