Job summary

The Judge Group in Charleston, SC seeks an experienced Project Manager for Education Construction to lead large-scale capital programs from conception to completion.

Qualified candidates have a BS in a related field, 15+ years in capital programs, and a track record of managing programs >$500M with projects $25M-$150M; experience in education, municipal or K-12; CCM/CCE a plus; competitive benefits.

Job description

Location: Charleston, SC

Salary: $140,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager - Education Construction

• B.S. in an industry-related field, advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience leading large-scale capital programs and complex design and construction initiatives.
• The candidate shall demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing programs with an aggregate value exceeding $500 million, including oversight of multiple concurrent projects ranging from $25 million to $150 million, diverse stakeholder groups, and large multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering higher education, municipal, and/or K-12 educational facility programs.
• Professional registration, other specific certifications such as CCM, CCE, or advanced specialized technical knowledge preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management and project controls, with specialized knowledge in several areas, including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in personnel and project management techniques, including budgeting, leadership, training, and business development.
• Ability to manage teams on large, complex projects.
• Experience with initiating strategic approach to projects, marketing, and business development opportunities.
• Manages major clients and is capable of managing multiple teams and multiple assignments, taking projects from conception to completion.
• Ability to provide a team strategy to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to lead a team’s efforts to analyze and optimize internal and external processes.
