Project Managers are responsible for the profitable execution of large design-build retrofit projects that focus on MEP/controls/envelope building systems. Initial projects will be in Colorado or surrounding states, with potential future projects in other regions.
A typical day for the successful candidate includes:
- Acting as the primary on-site leader for execution teams on assigned projects.
- Developing project schedules and ensuring execution according to plan.
- Managing overall financial performance, including costs, billings, and collections.
- Evaluating contractual scope of work and interpreting contract terms and conditions.
- Communicating project progress, issues, and financial status to management.
- Managing procurement schedules for materials needed for projects.
- Supporting subcontract procurement and scope of work development.
- Ensuring project documentation complies with contract and company standards.
- Overseeing construction for compliance with specifications, codes, and best practices.
- Assisting in project development efforts, including resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
- Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in the building construction industry.
- Experience managing complex projects, preferably over $5 million scope.
- Ability to manage mechanical and/or technical project teams.
- Experience with mechanical and/or lighting retrofits, building envelope, electrical upgrades, and HVAC controls including BAS systems.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical material to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial systems.
- Technical skills in MS Office, Adobe PDF, and Windows environment.
- US Citizen and able to pass a government background check for badging and access.
