Description du poste

South Chicago Region | Mission-Critical Construction

We are seeking experienced Project Managers across multiple construction disciplines to support large-scale, ground-up data center projects in the South Chicago region.

We are interested in candidates with backgrounds in mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, and structural construction, who have experience managing complex projects in data center, mission-critical, industrial, or other large-scale commercial environments.

These roles will involve overseeing project delivery from planning through execution and final handover, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring work is completed safely, to specification, and in line with project requirements.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in North America; visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery
  • Manage day-to-day project activities from preconstruction through installation, completion, and turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and client representatives.
  • Monitor progress against project objectives and proactively address delays, risks, and technical challenges.
Discipline-Specific Project Management
  • Oversee construction activities within the relevant discipline, including mechanical systems, fire protection, plumbing, or structural packages.
  • Coordinate installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, material procurement, equipment delivery, and installation sequencing.
  • Resolve design coordination issues and work with engineering teams to address RFIs, technical queries, and field changes.
  • Ensure work is properly coordinated with other trades and integrated into the wider construction schedule.
Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication between subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Review subcontractor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate closely with site leadership to maintain productivity and ensure work is completed in line with project milestones.
Cost, Quality & Risk Management
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, change orders, and potential scope variations.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed and that work meets the required specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and records of project changes.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning requirements where applicable, and final handover documentation.
  • Ensure outstanding items are tracked and resolved ahead of project completion.
Qualifications:
  • 5–10+ years of construction project management experience, ideally on large-scale data center, mission-critical, industrial, or commercial construction projects.
  • Experience managing mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, or structural construction packages.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, project schedules, budgets, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, change management, and quality control processes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams within fast-paced construction environments.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site and maintain a strong presence throughout project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience delivering ground-up hyperscale or enterprise data center projects.
  • Relevant trade, engineering, or construction management background.
  • Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore and Bluebeam.
  • Experience working on large, multi-phase mission-critical construction programs.
Why Apply?

These opportunities offer the chance to contribute to the delivery of large-scale, ground-up data center infrastructure in the growing Chicago market. We are looking to connect with Project Managers from a range of construction disciplines who can bring strong technical knowledge, effective subcontractor management, and proven project delivery experience to complex, mission-critical builds.
