Job summary

Coherent Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager to drive delivery of Platform Engineering and infrastructure initiatives. You will turn ambiguous technical work into structured plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with timelines and goals.

The role requires managing epics, sprints, and dashboards in Jira and guiding multi-site delivery efforts. Ideal candidates have strong Agile experience, excellent communication, and the ability to operate in ambiguous

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management.
• Strong practical experience with Agile delivery, including running Agile ceremonies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira, including epics, sprints, story points, and dashboards.
• Experience building and maintaining work breakdown structures for complex programs.
• Ability to understand technical designs related to network, systems, or cloud infrastructure and assess scope and dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Platform Engineering and infrastructure initiatives, including planning, sequencing, risk management, and status reporting.
• Build and maintain milestone schedules and work breakdown structures across design, procurement, delivery, installation, testing, and handover.
• Work with vendors, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather site requirements, review designs, resolve gaps, and validate timelines.
• Coordinate contractors and external partners across site delivery activities, including cabling, integration, and circuit delivery.
• Break down initiatives into epics, sprints, and tasks, and track progress in Jira.
• Manage dependencies, risks, blockers, and scope changes, including impact on schedule and budget.
• Run Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement of delivery processes.
• Own site acceptance and handover to Operations with documentation and as-built materials.

Project Description

The Technical Project Manager will drive delivery of complex infrastructure and platform initiatives within the Platform Engineering team. The role involves turning ambiguous technical initiatives into structured delivery plans, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with portfolio priorities, timelines, and project goals.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of Platform Engineering and infrastructure initiatives, including planning, sequencing, risk management, and status reporting;
• Build and maintain milestone schedules and work breakdown structures across design, procurement, delivery, installation, testing, and handover;
• Work with vendors, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather site requirements, review technical designs, resolve gaps, and validate project timelines;
• Coordinate contractors and external partners across site delivery activities, including structured cabling, systems integration, and ISP circuit delivery;
• Break down technical initiatives into epics, work packages, and sprint-sized tasks, and maintain accurate project tracking in Jira;
• Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and scope or design changes, including their impact on schedule, cost, and standards compliance;
• Run Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, and support continuous improvement of team delivery processes;
• Own site acceptance and handover to Operations, including required documentation and as-built materials, and provide clear status updates to engineering leadership and PPMO stakeholders;

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management, preferably with infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering teams;
• Strong practical experience with Agile delivery, including running Agile ceremonies and managing team workflows;
• Strong hands‑on experience with Jira, including epics, sprints, story points, and dashboards;
• Experience building and maintaining work breakdown structures for complex, multi-phase technical programs;
• Ability to understand technical designs related to network, systems, or cloud infrastructure and assess project scope, dependencies, and sequencing;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership;
• Experience coordinating distributed teams and keeping multiple stakeholders and workstreams aligned;
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with multiple parallel workstreams, identify critical dependencies and risks, and provide clear updates to PPMO and CIO leadership;
• Ability to start the workday between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM CET/CEST;

Nice To Have

• Experience with portfolio or roadmap management tools such as BigPicture or Advanced Roadmaps;
• Experience supporting data center, network infrastructure, hyperscale, or edge computing environments;
• Familiarity with governance and intake processes within PMO, PPMO, or similar structures;
• PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification;
