Job summary

Minnaro architectural studio in New York seeks an experienced architect with 5–10 years on Ontario projects to prepare details, specifications, and construction documents. Strong AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and MS Office skills are essential.

A Master’s in Architecture and eligibility for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects are required, along with excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience on architectural projects.
• Proven ability to prepare details, specifications, and construction documents.
• Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school and eligibility for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural details, renderings, boards, and presentation documents.
• Create and manage construction drawings, specifications, and coordination with consultants.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-end results for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software and industry standards.

Job description

Applicants must have first‑hand experience in preparing details, specifications, and construction documents. Strong working knowledge of current versions of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Sketch‑up, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Must have prior experience working on active construction sites on a multitude of project types. Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office is mandatory. A Master’s degree in Architecture is required from an accredited school that will allow for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-driven, and must have an interest in working collaboratively to produce high end results for our clients.

Preferred Considerations

• Ability to prepare Architectural presentation documents (renderings, boards, booklets, etc);
• Understanding of Adobe products including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign;
• Understanding of Rhino, Grasshopper, and parametric design;
• LEED BD+C Accreditation.
