Job summary

Southern Recruiting Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex control system and automation projects from FEED to Start-Up.

You will manage project execution, drive profitability, and lead a team to deliver on schedule and budget while maintaining strong client relationships. Requirements include a BS in Engineering, 10+ years of PM experience in oil and gas, LNG, or power domains, and familiarity with Emerson, Rockwell, and Invensys platforms.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of proven project management experience in control system and automation projects.
• PMP certification is desired.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera and SAP is a plus.
• Familiarity with OEM control system platforms such as Emerson, Rockwell and Invensys is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution with emphasis on P&L and cash flow.
• Oversee FEED through Detailed Design, Commissioning and Start-Up.
• Aim to increase contract value and revenue while meeting profit margins.
• Manage customer relationships, minimize scope creep, and process change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution by placing a heavy emphasis on P&L and cash flow.
• Manage all aspects of the project, from Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) through Detailed Design, Commissioning and Start-Up.
• Must place a significant emphasis on managing every project with the intention of increasing contract value and/or revenue along with delivering profit margin expectations that will require a minimum of the following items listed below:
• Manage customers for each project effectively by minimizing scope creep and impacts along with generating change orders accordingly to avoid low or negative profit margins.
• Directing and communicating to project team members of what each project’s scope, schedule, and budget entails. This will also involve making sure that all project team members understand and execute their projects and respective tasks on or before the required completion dates.
• Direction and training of junior controls project management and engineering staff.
• Develop, maintain, and improve client relationships.
• Some relocation expense available.

Requirements

• The Project Manager will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and strong experience with MS Project, Primavera and SAP are a plus.
• PMP certification is desired.
• 10+ years of proven project management experience in managing control system and automation projects in the oil and gas, LNG or power generation industries.
