Job summary

PharmaLogic is seeking a Project Manager to spearhead the planning, construction and commissioning of radiopharmacy facilities and new business initiatives. You will oversee design, budgeting and scheduling, and coordinate with QA/regulatory teams to ensure compliance with USP, CFR and FDA guidance.

The role emphasizes managing vendor selection, bid processes, risk assessment and cross-functional communication, with travel up to 75% as needed across pharma sites.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; Master’s or PMP credential preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in construction project management in hospital or laboratory settings preferred.

Reports To: Senior Director of Project Management

Location/Remote: Ideally East of the Mississippi River

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Project Management, the Project Manager will spearhead and facilitate the planning, construction and commissioning of special Radiopharmacy projects as well as new business initiatives companywide. The ideal candidate will have extensive operational and /or construction project management-based experience; preferred experience in projects involving cGMP facilities, specific experience with construction of cyclotron centers and/or cleanroom environments is highly desired.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • 1. Upon assignment the project manager will oversee design and construction of new facilities or renovation of existing facilities within the PharmaLogic Holdings Inc network.
  • 2. Research and present multiple bids by contractors for each project.
  • 3. Prepare, present and oversee the project budget.
  • 4. Prepare, present and oversee the project schedule.
  • 5. Use professional knowledge to identify and manage project risk.
  • 6. Determine any specialists that may need to be hired to complete the project.
  • 7. Work with the Quality & Regulatory and Operations staff to ensure that all requirements are met in the design of the new facility.
  • 8. Complete thorough due diligence of all vendors and contractors to be hired and ensure that work completed will be in:
    • a. Compliance with construction requirements following best practices established by PharmaLogic
    • b. Compliance with all USP regulations & guidance
    • c. Compliance with all CFR regulations & guidance
    • d. Compliance with all FDA regulations & guidance
  • 9. Facilitate discussions and planning for equipment infrastructure requirements.
  • 10. Manages routine communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • 11. Interface with the contractor during all phases of design, construction and project close out and provide feedback to PharmaLogic Leadership on:
    • a. Deviations in the timeline
    • b. Adjustments to the budget
    • c. Identification of project risks and propose mitigation strategies
Additional Responsibilities and Duties
  • 1. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
  • 2. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks that improve efficiency and accuracy of project reporting and information sharing.
  • 3. Represents the company when requested through meetings at potential pharma collaboration sites and customer sites.
  • 4. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director of Project Management that will further the success of the project management department and the broader organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 1. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Master’s or PMP credential preferred.
  • 2. 10+ years of professional experience in construction project management in a hospital or laboratory setting preferred.
  • a. Experience or knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and cGMP design construction projects preferred.
  • b. Experience with cleanroom design and construction (cross-industry is acceptable)
  • c. Experience with HVAC and Mechanical system design and construction
  • 3. A strong ability to establish rapport, credibility, and influence across a broad spectrum of stakeholders is mandatory.
  • 4. Must have exceptional organization, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, excellent time and process management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • 5. Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, presentation and computer/PC skills (including proficiency in Microsoft Suit and related software, MS Project preferred).
  • 6. Ability to travel up to 75% or as needed and/or directed to complete job requirements.
