Job summary

Intertek, a global leader in quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Project Manager in Farmingdale, NY to lead government and large private construction programs. You will manage meetings, budgets, invoices, and client relationships while coordinating testing and inspection activities.

The role requires 5+ years in construction materials testing or project management, a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), and the ability to read plans and supervise field teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 5+ years' experience in Construction Materials Testing and/or Project Management.
• Must be familiar with the local building codes and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and attend project meetings and maintain Client relationships.
• Review project setup and prepare advanced proposals for internal and external review and follow up.
• Complete contract review and negotiation.
• Monitor project budget and initiate change orders.
• Review, Prepare and Submit invoices.
• Review and sign test reports.
• Perform project close out duties.
• Ensure field testing and inspections are scheduled and performed correctly and keep clients informed of progress.
• Supervise and provide support to field and/or laboratory personnel.
• Train field and laboratory personnel on different types of testing and inspection techniques in accordance with ASTM, ACI and other reference standards and test methods.
• Help with equipment issues and/or replacement.
• Assist with lab, field and/or administrative duties as needed.
