Job summary

GPI is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Construction Inspection to lead and expand our construction inspection and management practice throughout Central and Northern New Jersey. You will oversee high-profile transportation projects, manage project teams, and develop client relationships from award through completion.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection or construction management.
  • Experience managing NJDOT, county, municipal, or other transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • NICET Certification, EIT, or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects with high quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction inspection and management assignments for roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Mentor Resident Engineers, construction inspectors, and field staff for project success.
  • Serve as primary client contact for NJDOT, counties, municipalities, and other public-sector stakeholders.
  • Direct project planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
  • Review daily inspection reports, project documentation, contractor schedules, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with contractors, designers, utilities, and agencies to resolve issues.
  • Support business development through client engagement, proposals, interviews, and growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand CM services throughout New Jersey.

What You'll Do

What You’ll Bring
