Job summary

GPI is seeking an Office Engineer to support bridge and highway construction projects with NJDOT or local agencies in the New Jersey region. The ideal candidate will manage project documentation, review payments, and coordinate with teams and clients.

Requirements include 5 years of experience as an Office Engineer, NICET III certification, and the ability to work on multiple projects with a strong work ethic. Occasional extended hours and PPE compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as an Office Engineer on bridge and/or highway projects.
• Proficient with SiteManager and EBO for records and reporting.
• Solid computer skills including MS Word/Excel/Outlook and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all project documentation.
• Review and process contractor payment requisitions.
• Prepare and process change orders and submittals.
• Coordinate inter-agency communications and project closeout.
• Document daily work and payments for completed tasks.
• Act as liaison between project management, subcontractors, and site engineers.

GPI seeks motivated and experienced Office Engineers to work on bridge & highway construction projects with the NJDOT or other local agencies in the New Jersey region. Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining all project documentation
• Reviewing and processing contractor's payment requisitions
• Preparing and processing change orders and submittals
• Project closeout and Inter-agency coordination
• Complete daily work reports and payments for completed work
• Acts as a liaison between project management, subcontractors, and site engineers to resolve problems

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience working as an Office Engineer on NJDOT highway and/or bridge projects
• NICET III certification is required
• Occasional extended work hours such as Night Shift /Weekend work availability
• Knowledge of MURK recordkeeping, including SiteManager and EBO

Requirements

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
• Able to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours
• Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)
• Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
• Able to move equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds
