Job summary

ARCO National Holdings is seeking a Design/Build Manager in Charlotte, NC to oversee managerial and administrative aspects of construction projects from day one. You will work with owners and design teams on estimates, concepts, and value engineering while coordinating subcontractors and ensuring quality and timely completion.

Responsibilities include cost reporting, safety, site meetings, and maintaining alignment with company values.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field is required.
  • 3–10 years of construction management experience on commercial projects.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
  • Commitment to quality and meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
  • Integrity and alignment with company values while supporting associates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
  • Collaborate with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
  • Participate in owner meetings to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
  • Oversee buyout process and subcontractor selection.
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings and manage site activities.
  • Make sound decisions under tight deadlines and coordinate multiple activities.
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project processes and implementing improvements.
  • Maintain integrity and uphold company values while meeting customer expectations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE


  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project. Including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS


  • BS in Engineering or related field

  • 3-10 years of construction management experience as a Project Engineer, APM, or Project Manager on commercial projects.

  • Ability to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.

  • Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes. Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external customer expectations.

  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

  • Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
