Job summary

Dugan & Meyers is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our Concrete Structures team in Cincinnati, OH. You will lead projects with a strong emphasis on self-perform concrete operations, ensuring work is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholders, controlling costs, and mentoring project staff while aligning with safety programs and project milestones.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of construction experience in concrete structures, incl. multi-story, parking garages, data centers, industrial facilities
• Knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management practices
• Proven ability to coach, train and mentor others
• Highly collaborative with excellent communication, tact and diplomacy

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary representative on each project for the operation and completion
• Coordinate with co-workers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective information flow
• Initiate cost control and reporting with Estimating and Accounting teams
• Manage contract finances: change orders, payments, equipment rents, back charges, etc.; prepare monthly projections
• Ensure safety program is carried out with Corporate Safety Director and Regional Safety Manager
• Set goals, manage project schedule including critical path and milestones
• Coordinate staffing and mentor the project team

Job description

We are growing in the Cincinnati, OH area and have an excellent opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to join our Concrete Structures team. As a Project Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring construction projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. In this role, you will lead projects with a strong emphasis on self-perform concrete operations. With over 90 years of experience in the construction industry, our hallmark is a collaborative approach. This can be seen in our work, including General Construction, Construction Management, Design Build, and Concrete Construction services.

Your Responsibilities In This Role

• Primary representative of Dugan & Meyers on each project who is responsible for every phase of the project's operation and completion
• Serves as the company liaison with co-workers, clients, and project stakeholders to seamlessly coordinate and effectively communicate the flow of information
• Initiates cost control and reporting procedures in conjunction with the Estimating and Accounting teams
• Manages financial aspects of contracts, including change orders, contractor and supplier payments, equipment rentals, back charges, etc. Prepares monthly financial projections for leadership review
• Works with the Corporate Safety Director and Regional Safety Manager to ensure the project's safety program is carried out and established
• Formulates goals and objectives for the project and actively manages the project schedule including the critical path and all the milestones to ensure project goals are exceeded or met
• Coordinates staffing requirements and actively serves as a mentor for the project's team

What You Need To Qualify

• 5-7 years of relative job experience - experience in the construction of the following concrete structures is highly preferred: multi-story structures, including parking garages, Multi-Family Residential, Office, Commercial, Hospitality, and Institutional, as well as Data Centers, Industrial Facilities, etc..
• Knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management with a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices
• BS degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to coach, train and mentor others
• Highly collaborative work style with excellent communication skills, tact, and diplomacy are essential
