Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
ACG Systems is seeking a Project Manager to own a portfolio of complex installation and systems integration projects in Washington, DC. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and customer relationships across technically diverse efforts.
You will coordinate engineers and subcontractors, drive government submittals, monitor risks, and ensure timely invoicing and project closeout. Travel may be required, and compensation includes a performance-based bonus eligibility.
ACG Systems is a rapidly growing systems integrator. For more than thirty years we have designed, installed and supported the radio, dispatch and recording systems people depend on when the stakes are high: controllers talking to aircraft, federal agents working the border, wildland fire dispatchers, airline ramp operations, and emergency communications centers.
In any given month our project teams are modernizing control tower communications, installing dispatch consoles in federal operations centers, refreshing microwave backhaul across remote sites, standing up voice recorders in hospitals and medical centers, integrating radio systems into vehicles and mobile command units, delivering equipment overseas under foreign military sales, and running recurring maintenance programs at airports and airline stations nationwide.
We are headquartered in Annapolis and have recently expanded through acquisition into in-building public safety wireless and public safety communications consulting. This role exists to support that growth across the entire platform.
You will own a portfolio of concurrent projects budgeted between $50,000 and $2 million or more, running anywhere from a few weeks to three years. Projects will vary and will not follow perfectly repeatable patterns.
A typical portfolio includes a control tower modernization delivered alongside the electrical contractor building the tower, a microwave link refresh spread across remote federal sites, dispatch console upgrades at operations centers, a voice recorder installation at a medical center, an equipment build and inspection for an overseas foreign military sale, and recurring maintenance programs that need scheduling and renewal rather than construction management.
ACG delivers as both a prime contract holder and a subcontractor, and you will work both ways, often in the same week.
Every project has a technical lead assigned to it. Our project managers are expected to work alongside the technical leads and understand where a project stands, and what it needs to keep moving.
This role sits at the center of an integrated team. Every project brings together equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, general contractors, our own engineers and technicians, and the customer. You keep that group aligned and moving so the work lands on schedule and on budget.
In a typical week you might be coordinating engineering support from a manufacturer, working with a general contractor to secure site access, turning around a customer's comments on a site survey report, resequencing an installation around a construction milestone, and confirming that completed work is invoiced on time.
Our customers include federal civilian and law enforcement agencies, every military service, land management and public land agencies, airport authorities and their contractors, major airlines, hospitals, utilities, and state and local public safety agencies. Some buy through open competition, some through GSA and other contract vehicles, and some through the general contractor building their facility.
There is no playbook for most of what we do, and no two projects look alike. If you are used to an environment where the process was already built, this will be an adjustment. If you are the person who figures out what needs to happen and then makes it happen, you will do well here, and you will have real influence over how this platform scales.
Base salary is to be commensurate with experience, with performance-based bonus eligibility. Medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) and disability insurance.
