Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Project Manager for our Commercial Roofing division in Fort Worth, TX. This role oversees the full project lifecycle, coordinating with Superintendents and other PMs to maximize schedule efficiency and profitability.

You will manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders while maintaining budgeted margins and strong client relationships. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in Project Management within a Commercial Roofing scope or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office package, including MS Project.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete responsibility for assigned project from start to finish.
• Pre-plan execution with Superintendent and develop project schedule.
• Manage contracts and ensure language matches estimates.
• Prepare project binder for Superintendent and Foreman.
• Produce, manage, and track project submittals.
• Perform material takeoffs.
• Write RFIs and coordinate client-company communication.
• Participate in jobsite walks and client meetings.
• Document, track, and create change orders to secure payment for extra work.
• Negotiate change orders with clients.
• Track and manage costs to achieve budgeted profits.
• Update and maintain an accurate project forecast.

Overview

This key position will act as a Project Manager in the Commercial Roofing Division and is responsible for providing Project Management Responsibilities for the entire life cycle of their projects and support to other project managers. The Project Manager is a vital connection between all departments and will be the main point of contact for their projects. The Project Manager is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, maximizing the efficiency and profit of the project by purchasing materials under budget, offering value engineered options, tracking project schedule and overseeing the disbursement of materials and labor to the job site.

Responsibilities

• Complete responsibility for assigned project from start to finish.
• Work with Superintendent to pre-plan the execution of project and develop project schedule.
• Manage contracts, develop and ensure that contract language matches prepared estimates.
• Prepare project binder for Superintendent and Foreman.
