Employbridge is seeking a Project Manager for commercial electrical construction in the Las Vegas area. The role requires overseeing administration, procurement, scheduling, and contract management, with close collaboration with Estimating and Preconstruction to resolve constructability and value-engineering matters.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in construction or engineering, at least five years' PM experience, and 2+ years with a commercial electrical contractor.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in construction, design, finance, and/or project management.
  • 2+ years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Review owner contracts and ensure compliance.
  • Manage development of master project schedules and quality control programs.
  • Identify critical issues, milestones, and project risks.
  • Review budgets and scopes with the Preconstruction Department.
  • Identify potential additional costs and forecast accordingly.
  • Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution.
  • Prepare subcontractor and owner Change Orders.
  • Prepare monthly owner requisitions.
  • Develop and maintain Look-Ahead Schedules.
  • Manage the company’s quality control program on the project.

Project Manager – Commercial Electrical Construction
Description

A Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to serve as the Company’s principal representative for the administrative and technical management of the construction project. The Project Manager supervises all activities related to Contract Administration, Document Control, Change Orders, Submittals, Procurement, and Scheduling.

This role works closely with Estimating throughout the pre-construction process and, in conjunction with the Preconstruction Department, interfaces with owners, A/E’s, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve constructability and/or value engineering matters during negotiation and contract execution.

The Project Manager is responsible for performing all essential functions in alignment with Our Client’s values, policies, safety standards, quality expectations, and profitability objectives to ensure full client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager with Our Client, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Review owner contracts and ensure compliance.
  • Manage development of master project schedules and quality control programs.
  • Identify critical issues, milestones, and project risks.
  • Review budgets and scopes with the Preconstruction Department.
  • Identify potential additional costs and forecast accordingly.
  • Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution.
  • Manage the development of GMP or Lump Sum Contracts.
  • Prepare subcontractor and owner Change Orders.
  • Prepare monthly owner requisitions.
  • Analyze the financial ability of subcontractors to perform.
  • Ensure all contractual requirements for subcontractors and vendors are fulfilled prior to mobilization.
  • Manage project assets.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of job cost reports.
  • Develop and maintain Look-Ahead Schedules.
  • Manage the company’s quality control program on the project.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in construction, design, finance, and/or project management.
  • 2+ years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor.
  • Proficiency with construction/project management software and Microsoft Office, including Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS, MS Word, Excel, and AIA Contract Documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents.
