Job summary

DAHLIN is seeking a licensed Architect / Project Manager to join the Commercial team in Pleasanton, CA. The candidate will lead architectural projects through all phases, coordinating with consultants, managing scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications to bring projects to successful completion.

This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days onsite per week at our Pleasanton office. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of PM experience in U.S.-based architectural firms, strong knowledge

• Licensed & registered Architect in the state of CA
• 5+ years of proven architectural project management experience
• Bachelor or Master of Architecture
• Recent experience with U.S.-based projects, clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies
• Knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

We are currently seeking a licensed Architect / Project Manager to join the Commercial team in Pleasanton, CA. The ideal candidate has proven project management experience within an architectural firm, working on civic, community, or other complex projects. This experienced professional will have full responsibility for proactively managing all aspects of exciting new projects, including scope, schedule, budget, project team coordination, and client communication, bringing projects to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.

What You Will Do

• Lead architectural projects through all phases, managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and project documentation
• Serve as a primary client contact and coordinate with project teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to keep projects aligned and moving forward to the client’s satisfaction
• Ensure quality and accuracy of documents to support successful project delivery
• Oversee project finances, including fee development, contracts, billing, and labor tracking; proactively address budget and schedule issues

• Lead project teams through clear direction, delegation, collaboration, and coaching of less experienced staff

What You Will Bring

• Demonstrated hands-on project management experience in a U.S. architectural firm, with responsibility for managing project scope, budgets, schedules, teams, and deliverables
• Experience in using project management tools for project initiation, planning, billings, and tracking labor
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and client relationship skills
• Ability to effectively and positively provide direction and lead architectural staff
• Strong skills and talent in SketchUp modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM

Your Qualifications

• Licensed & registered Architect in the state of CA required
• 5+ years of proven architectural project management experience, including managing scope, budgets, schedules, client relationships, and project teams through all project phases, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
• Bachelor or Master of Architecture (required)
• Recent experience working with U.S.-based projects, clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices
• Commitment to professional growth

Salary Range

$90,000 - $120,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements.
