Thomas & Hutton is seeking a Project Manager - Civil Engineer to lead water and wastewater infrastructure designs in the Southeast. You will manage municipal and private sector projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and foster strong client relationships.

The role requires a PE license, civil/environmental degree, and a proven track record in managing complex water projects. Expect growth through mentoring and hands-on Civil 3D guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 58 years of experience in the design and management of municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater infrastructure and process design projects for municipal and private sector clients.
• Lead project teams in the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Oversee hydraulic modeling and system analysis using tools such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWorks WS, or InfoWater.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders including water/sewer authorities.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback to project staff.
• Utilize project tracking tools to monitor progress, resources, and financial performance.
• Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

What you bring

• Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Vision or Microsoft Project
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Experience working in the southeastern United States preferred
