Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is seeking a Civil Construction Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple projects in the Greater Richmond/Williamsburg/Hampton areas. The role requires strong planning, contract negotiation, and team leadership.

Applicants should have 5+ years in construction management, a solid understanding of procedures and budgets, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• Deep understanding of construction procedures and project management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and time-management skills.

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise and coordinate all aspects of a wide range of construction projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to schedule and budget.
• Supervise a team of Engineers, Interns, and other team members and provide guidance as needed.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers.

• Proficient in computer and corresponding programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered.

For this role the base salary range is $95,000-140,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
