Job summary

Tri-City Group in Davenport, IA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee fast-paced, multi-project construction efforts. You will track project finances, approve invoices, monitor hours and quantities, and prepare monthly WIP reports.

Responsibilities include attending preconstruction and kickoff meetings, reviewing specs, gathering quotes, producing CAD drawings updates, coordinating with customers and subcontractors, and maintaining the project schedule. Travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction, Construction Management, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Previous experience in large-scale, fast-paced construction projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Bluebeam

Responsibilities

  • Attend Preconstruction/Kick Off Meetings
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of projects
  • Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and estimate
  • Gather quotes, print drawings, take-off estimating, respond to RFIs/RFQs
  • Interact with customers, other trades, general contractors, and internal staff
  • Provide Construction Services with updated CAD drawings
  • Assist with assembly of shop drawings per project requirements
  • Maintain updated status of quoted items, subcontractors, and purchase orders
  • Prepare weekly reports and other paperwork
  • Prepare prints for other PMs, Field Foreman, and Construction Services
  • Track department estimates and assist in submittal process
  • Coordinate with other divisions as needed
  • Assist in project closeout including warranty information and O&M manuals
  • Maintain good relationships with customers internally and externally
  • Create and maintain the project schedule
  • Coordinate manpower with field supervision
  • Track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Understand contract terms and risk management
  • Schedule manpower and subcontractors using MS Project or similar
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Travel is required

Job description

Tri-City Group is currently seeking a Project Manager for an immediate opening. The Project Manager will track project finances. Approving invoices, work hours, quantities, and filling out monthly WIP’s.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend Preconstruction/Kick Off Meetings
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and the required contents of projects
  • Review proposed specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and the required contents of the estimate
  • Gather quotes, print drawings, count, take-off estimating, and respond to RFIs and RFQs
  • Professionally interact with customers, other trades, general contractors, and internal staff
  • Provide Construction Services with up-to-date CAD drawings
  • Assist with the assembly of shop drawings as per project requirements
  • Keep an updated status of quoted items, subcontractors, and equipment purchase orders
  • Complete paperwork and reports, such as weekly reports
  • Prepare clean, full-size, and half-size prints for other Project Managers, Field Foreman, and Construction Services
  • Track department estimates and assist in the submittal process
  • Coordinate with other divisions as needed
  • Assist in project closeout, including submission of warranty information, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals
  • Maintain good relationships with customers both internally and externally
  • Create and maintain the project schedule.
  • Coordinate manpower needs with field supervision

  • Understand contract terms & risk management.
