Job summary

FITS is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee capital projects in the pharmaceutical sector, focusing on Oral Solid Dosage manufacturing and packaging lines in Puerto Rico and the US. You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, and regulatory alignment across teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in pharma capital projects, GMP delivery experience, and is fluent in Spanish and English. Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills are essential for success.

For Project Management services in the Manufacturing and Engineering area.

The Technical Part:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineeringand at least seven (8) years of previous exposure managing capital projects in thepharmaceutical industry; experienced with RFP process, designfirms’ management; experience with manufacturing, packaging processes andequipment, clean rooms design and facilities improvements; proven GMP projectdelivery experience.
• Bilingual: Spanish and English (good communications).
• Shift: Administrative and according to business needs.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in:
  • At least eight(8) years of experience managing capital projects within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting OSD manufacturing processes including granulation, blending, compression, coating, encapsulation, packaging, and material handling systems.
  • Experience managing equipment installation, facility upgrades, manufacturing process improvements, and technology transfer projects.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.

• Comprehensive Project Management: Oversee all aspects of projects including planning, implementation, monitoring, completion, and follow-up.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project activities adhere to domestic and international regulatory requirements and approved guidelines within the area of responsibility.
• Resource Planning: Anticipate and communicate resource needs to management and project sponsors.
• Issue Resolution: Evaluate project issues and develop effective solutions to achieve scientific, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction objectives.
• Technical and Organizational Support: Assist with technical, financial, and organizational challenges by researching issues, providing recommendations, and maintaining document archives.
• Risk Management: Identify and anticipate potential schedule delays or changes, analyzing their cost and resource impact.
• Decision Support: Implement tools, techniques, and processes to generate information that enables informed decision-making within project teams.
• Compliance with Standards: Ensure all project work complies with company practices, policies, and standard operating procedures.
