Oates Associates is seeking a project manager specializing in structural engineering to work on new buildings and renovations in a community-focused firm. The role involves managing projects from $10k to $20M and mentoring junior staff for quality and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering (master's degree a plus).
  • PE license (SE license a plus).
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or masonry design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of RAM, RISA, Revit.
  • Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC codes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management for building structural engineering projects including new buildings and renovations.
  • Mentor junior staff, review work for quality and accuracy, and support ongoing technical growth.
  • Collaborate with clients on building expansions, repairs, renovations, and stand-alone buildings from $10k to $20M.

This position is ideal for a structural engineer that enjoys working with clients on building expansions, repairs, renovations, and stand-alone buildings ranging from $10k to $20M. The selected candidate will also mentor junior staff, review their work for quality and accuracy, and support their ongoing technical growth.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering - master's degree is a plus
  • PE license - SE license is a plus
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or masonry design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of building codes - IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $110,000 - $155,000 annually
