Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation team. This onsite role supports one of our aviation clients in New York, NY or Newark, NJ.

The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional activities, lead project initiation to closeout, and ensure budgets, schedules and quality meet client expectations. Strong communication and field-operating skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of construction and/or PM experience.
• Experience in airport environments.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of project delivery technologies and tools.
• Contingent upon client approval.

Responsibilities

• Organizes cross-functional activities for project completion (deliverables, schedule and budget).
• Leads development of proposals, initiation, execution, control and closeout; manages budgets and invoicing.
• Participates in marketing, proposals and presentations for project selection.
• Plans complete project execution and develops the project manual.
• Schedules manpower vs. budget and manages scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk.
• Establishes contractor-client liaison network for updates.
• Monitors the project from initiation to delivery and updates manpower.
• Forms a project team to coordinate task execution.
• Submits documents for code compliance and permits.
• Holds regular progress meetings to review contract terms.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and policy adherence.
• May supervise and develop personnel.

Job description

STV is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation team. This position will be supporting one of our aviation clients onsite in New York, New York or Newark, New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities

• Organizes cross-functional activities, for coordination of project activities for the completion of the project (i.e., project deliverables, schedule and budget)
• Capable of managing and directing the development of proposals, project initiation, project execution/control and project closeout for planning, Environmental Impact Statements, design and/or construction projects, and is responsible for project budgets, extra work requests and invoicing
• Participates in, or leads project-specific marketing, proposal preparation and presentations for successful project selection
• Plans the complete project execution and develops the project manual
• Schedules and monitors manpower requirements against the project budget/spending performance, including managing activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, discipline requirements, resources, procurement, and risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility
• Establishes contractor-client liaison network to keep interested parties informed of project planning, start date, and work and budget progress
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including development, execution and updating project manpower
• Forms a project work team that meets regularly to coordinate responsibility for assignment and execution of tasks according to schedule
• Submits documents to Federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and submits documentation for the various permits applications as required
• Holds regularly-scheduled project progress meetings to review that the project contract’s terms, conditions, and specifications are being met
• Ensures project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies and manpower, equipment, materials, and quality procedures are recognized for timely intervention and resolution
• May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architectural, Construction Management or similar designation
• Minimum 7 years of construction and/or project management experience
• Proven experience operating in a project management or leadership capacity
• Ability to work independently and effectively in field environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of current technologies and tools used in project delivery
• This position is contingent upon client approval
• Experience managing construction in active/operational airport environments

Compensation Range

$133,635.31 - $152,726.06
