Job summary

Garver’s Denver office is seeking a Project Manager to join our aviation team. You will oversee infrastructure for airports including site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and pavement design with emphasis on runways, taxiways, and aprons.

The role covers inception through design, bidding, construction, and closeout, with travel requirements and remote-work options. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and P.E. license are required along with 6+ years of civil/aviation experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 6+ years of civil engineering experience, aviation project experience preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and aviation software.

  • Draft project specifications and contract documents.
  • Construction administration and oversight for aviation clients.

Job description

Overview

Garver’s Denver office is looking for a Project Manager to join our aviation team. Aviation project managers oversee infrastructure supporting airports including site design, grading, drainage, utilities, sanitary sewer, roadway, electrical, and pavement design with emphasis on critical airport infrastructure such as runways, taxiways, and aprons. Projects are managed from inception through design, bidding, construction, and closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Project management of aviation design projects for commercial service and general aviation airports
  • Drafting project specifications and contract documents
  • Construction administration and oversight for aviation clients
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary design engineers and technicians
  • Coordination with subconsultants
  • Design projects with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and aviation specialty programs
  • Provide outstanding client service
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with aviation project experience
  • Responsive and consistent in communications
  • Proficient in design software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, aviation specialty programs
  • Travel will be required with occasional overnight stays
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience working with a multi-disciplinary team while overseeing project execution
  • Experience in managing construction projects at airports
  • Licensed pilot or other aviation-related experience
Compensation

Projected Compensation Range $108,600 to $165,800. (Salary range considers differences in incentive compensation commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance)
