Job summary

Bell | Knott Architecture & Interiors in the Kansas City area seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from planning through close-out. You will serve as the primary client contact and coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil teams to keep design intent aligned with constructability.

You will develop budgets and schedules, review contract documents, mentor junior staff, and build long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing architectural projects from design through construction (licensure a plus, not required).
• Revit & AutoCAD background; plus familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Twinmotion, Microsoft Project.
• Strong grasp of construction processes and coordination with engineering consultants and partners.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.
• Clear, confident communication with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors throughout each project's lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans, flagging risks before they become problems.
• Coordinate across disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, civil) to keep design intent and constructability aligned.
• Oversee production and quality review of contract documents through all phases: schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Lead construction administration, including submittal review, RFIs, and site visits.
• Manage project fees and job costs, and report status to firm principals.
• Mentor and guide junior staff working on your project teams.
• Build long-term client relationships that lead to repeat business.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from early planning through construction close-out. No two projects here look alike. What You Bring

• Strong grasp of the realities of the construction process, teaming with engineering consultants and construction partners
• Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects and balancing deliverables
